The infiltration of facial filler is performed through microinjections in the points on the skin to be treated, in which there is a depression or fold to be made, so that when the face recovers it returns to the original volume and the mark, that depression had caused in the skin surface is no longer distinguishable.
In the area to be treated, a microinjection with a small thin needle is applied, the gel volume is infiltrated into the skin which lifts and smoothens out the wrinkles visibly. The results can be seen even from the first application.
The type of filler will vary with each patient. Hyaluronic acid and collagen is the most used, being more safe and effective.
The completion of the treatment time can be between 30 to 60 minutes.
The type of anesthesia is usually topical cream.
The duration of the effect of the facial filler varies with each patient. It can last from 8 to 14 months and this is quite dependant on a lot of factors such as patient’s skin type, number of wrinkles, degree of dehydration, age, exercise, expressive, sun etc.
Undesirable effects of the treatment are bruising and swelling that usually subsides within a few days.
